| What
is it?
The KeepTheHeat™
system works by forcing clean air at 2,000 CFM from the outside into a system of corrugated
tubing. This tubing runs through a 20 ft. ventilation duct, exits the
duct work, and is routed along the ceiling and then down the walls or
pillars to floor level. As the incoming fresh air is flowing into the
building through the corrugated tubes, an exhaust fan pulls the internal
stagnant or contaminated air into the open end of the
ventilation duct (this is the same section that the corrugated
tubing exits the ventilation duct) , and draws this "bad" air
across the corrugated tubing which is then exhausted outside the building.
This "bad" air, taken from the ceiling level at 2,000 CFM, warms the corrugated
tubing, which then in turn warms the incoming fresh air
flowing inside of the tubing. This is how the KeepTheHeat™
system functions as a heat exchanger. It uses the heat
that is already present inside of your facility to heat the fresh air

The Distinctive Y-Shape Design - Fresh air is brought into the building at the top of "Y" using a turbine fan. The undesirable vapors are pulled through the bottom of the "Y" with a second fan. All components are designed for long life and low maintenance. The only parts of the unit that move are the fans. These units can be used year round to keep your work area cooler in the summer by only using the exhausting fan. The motors are 1 horse power and can be wired for 110 or 220 volt single phase or 208-230/460 three phase. | |
| Design is the key. The combination of tubes within tubes, correctly calculated heat-transfer area, and turbulent air flow within the unit provides the highly efficient heat transfer. The outside air is heated to within 5º F. to 10º F. of the inside air and is often even warmer than the air at floor level in your shop. (Please check your local and Federal requirements regarding air emissions.) As fumes or exhausts rise, the heat exchanger creates a draft at the ceiling level and draws the fumes outside. As the heat exchanger draws your contaminated building air out, it uses this heat to warm the incoming air. As you know, when the black smoke or contaminated air created in your building starts to cool off and starts coming down, it is much harder to remove. Our system removes this contaminated air before it starts to cool and conserves energy in the process. | ||
